WELCOME TO OUR HOME PAGE 17century
In 1610, Tobei Masataka Takenaka started out in the construction business as a shrine and temple carpenter in Nagoya. Rooted in a 400-year-old tradition of building masters as Japan's oldest architectural, engineering and construction firm, Takenaka Corporation is known today as one of the "Big Five" construction companies in Japan.

"A building is not a product, but a work of art."

KIAThese words, spoken by Toemon TAKENAKA, the founder of TAKENAKA CORPORATION, continue to guide us today.
And the commitment to quality that they represent is something we will never change.
As a company that has been in existence since the early 17th century, we intend to take the long view – building not only for the present generation, but for generations yet to come.

This, in essence, is TAKENAKA.
