Five months have passed since TAKENAKA Europe was nominated for the German Brand Award in the category “Excellence in Brand Strategy and Creation – Brand Communication Web & Mobile”.

Now it is official – we have won!

On 10 June 2021, this result was announced by the German Brand Award at an online award ceremony. Due to the current pandemic situation, it was unfortunately not possible this year to hold an award ceremony in person in Frankfurt, as had been customary in previous years. However, necessity is the mother of invention, so that the award ceremony and the associated networking could take place completely digitally.

For our team at TAKENAKA Europe, this award is a great honour. The website project was a great challenge for us, which was not always easy to master. The new web presentation of the general contractor was to represent the 13 European branches, which already differed in the various services they offered. The representation of TAKENAKA as a general contractor alone is controversial in some branch offices. We are all the more pleased that the result has met with such approval.

TAKENAKA’s core business is Design&Build – the planning and construction of buildings in a wide range of industries. Our references range from factories and offices to museums and schools – and accordingly make up the central part of our website.  It was also particularly important to us to give TAKENAKA a face – who are we in person? How can you contact us? What are our values, and why is our connection to our Japanese parent company so important? You can find out all this thanks to our new website.

The work on the website took more than 18 months from the first concept to going live. This process was accompanied almost from the beginning by the agency Onelio in Düsseldorf, to whom we owe our special thanks.

The German Brand Award is an industry award for brand management established by the German Design Council Foundation in 2016. The German Brand Institute Foundation was established jointly by the German Design Council and GMK Markenberatung. Its aim is to strengthen the importance of the brand as a decisive success factor for companies in the national and international competitive environment. With the German Brand Award, the foundation presents a unique award for outstanding brand management.
